Three Young Women in Argentina
«Abrir puertas y ventanas» by Swiss-Argentinian director Milagros Mumenthaler presents a study of three characters. The story is set in Buenos Aires at the end of the summer season. Following the death of their grandmother, three sisters live alone in their family home. Marina, Sofia and Violeta are trying to deal with her absence. This period of transition and uncertainty is marked by disagreements, laughter, mean remarks and affection, until one autumn day Violeta disappears without saying goodbye. A film about the silent aspects in life, the inbetween, sligthly poetical and an achieved first feature.
