Fr Martin Ernesto Bernal Alonso (Argentinien)
Martin Ernesto Bernal Alonso (*1964 in Buenos Aires) studied Graphical and Industrial design and then he did a degree on Theology and Philosophy at the Catholic University of Buenos Aires. Finally he did a postgraduate in Communication at the Latin-American Faculty of social sciences. He started to work as a journalist and teaches at the university. He became vice president of SIGNIS Argentina and has been member of SIGNIS juries (BAFICI) and already served at the ecumenical juries in Cannes and Montréal.
Gaëlle Courtens (Italien)
Gaëlle Courtens (*1967) is a Journalist specialising in religious matters. As Editor of the News Agency nev-notizie evangeliche
and as Press Officer for the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy, her main topics are: ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, religious freedom, secularity, migrations, human rights. She holds a master degree in Italian Language and Literature, Sociology, Political Science at the University of Zurich (CH). She has been member of the INTERFILM Jury in Venice and the jury PRIX FARE in Neuchâtel.
P. Franz-Xaver Hiestand SJ (Schweiz)
Franz-Xaver Hiestand studierte Germanistik, Latein und Geschichte der Neuzeit an der Universität Zürich, Abschluss 1988 mit dem Lizenziat. Eintritt im selben Jahr in den Jesuitenorden, danach Studium der Philosophie und Theologie in München und Paris. Seit 1997 Hochschulseelsorger, zuerst in Paris, dann in Bern, Luzern und seit 2010 in Zürich. Seit 1984 nebenamtliche Tätigkeit als Film-Kritiker und seit 2003 Leiter von Exerzitien mit Filmen.
Dr. Ola Sigurdson (Schweden)
Ola Sigurdson (*1966) is Professor of Systematic Theology and Director of the Centre for Culture and Health at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He has held visiting scholarships in Uppsala, Sweden, Cambridge, UK, and Princeton, USA and is author of twenty books and anthologies He is also active as a cultural journalist and commentator in Swedish media. One of his main professional interests is film and theology, where he has published extensively in English and Swedish., where. Hewas a member of the jury for the Church of Sweden Film Prize at the Gothenburg Film Festival.
Pfr. Dr.theol.h.c. Thomas Wipf (Schweiz)
Thomas Wipf (*1946) studied reformed Theology in Basel, Münster/Westfalen and Zurich. He was parish pastor and member of the Board Reformed Church of Zurich. President of Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches (1999-2010) he was engaged in various cultural events, he promoted e.g. the project of contemporary artists at the Expo02. He was President of Community of Protestant Churches in Europe (2006-2012), Founder and first President of Swiss Council of Religions. Since 2013 he is Moderator of the European Council of Religious Leaders and member of the Presidium of Religions for Peace International located in New York.
Catherine Wong (China) – Präsidentin
Catherine Wong (*1972) is a film reviewer and a regular columnist contributes reviews to newspapers and websites in Hong Kong. Currently she works as a producer for religious television programs for the Catholic Church since 1995. Catherine received her Master degree in Communications and Journalism from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and belongs to the staff of SIGNIS Hong Kong. Member of Ecumenical Jury at Montreal, Cannes, Karlovy Vary and DOK Leipzig.
